
Glendale Community College was recognized by the Healthy Arizona Worksite Program as achieving the Platinum Level of excellence in worksite wellness. The Healthy Arizona Worksite Award recognizes employers that make strong efforts to positively affect the health and well-being of their employees, their families, and their community by implementing comprehensive worksite wellness strategies. To qualify for the Platinum Level award, employers must provide extraordinary support to employees through health policy and systems changes. Platinum is the highest level that companies and organizations can achieve.
Glendale Community College received this recognition by supporting employee health and implementing programs to create a healthy workplace. Paige Moore and Louise So from the GCC Fitness & Wellness Department will represent GCC at the Healthy Arizona Worksite annual event on June 17, 2025 at Venue 8600 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
“We are incredibly proud of this achievement and accomplishment in supporting the health and wellness of our employees,” said Paige Moore, who supervises the Wellness & Fitness programs at GCC. “It is fantastic that Glendale Community College is recognized by the Arizona Department of Health Services for our wellness work on campus.”
The Healthy Arizona Worksites Program is designed to help Arizona employers implement evidence-based worksite wellness initiatives to improve the health of their employees and businesses.
The Healthy Arizona Worksites Program is a public health initiative offered by the Arizona Department of Health Services and the Maricopa County Department of Public Health. Its mission is to help employers successfully implement worksite wellness initiatives to improve the health of their employees.
This is the fifth time that the college has earned an Excellence in Worksite Wellness award.
