In keeping with the rich tradition of building community and recognizing faculty and staff for exemplary service and dedication to the college, Glendale Community College held its 15th annual Gaucho Globes award ceremony at the Spring 2026 Convocation on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

Gaucho Globe awards recognize faculty and staff who excel in their jobs and consistently go above and beyond to make Glendale Community College a better place for students, faculty and staff. Each recipient was nominated by their peers and then voted on by a committee.
Congratulating the recipients were Dr. Tiffany Hernandez - GCC President, Dr. Lou Sanchez - Dean of Enrollment Services, Augustine Erpelding - Vice President of Administrative Services, and Dr. Lorelei Konopka - Vice President of Academic Affairs.
