Glendale Community College was recently recognized with the Shining Star Award at the Shine On, Peoria! Gala Award Celebration. The Shining Star Award recognizes the Peoria Chamber’s Member of the Year for their dedication, passion, and community impact. The award honors an organization that consistently goes above and beyond to support the Peoria Chamber, engage with the community, and inspire others through leadership and commitment. Their efforts brighten the Chamber’s mission and help strengthen the Peoria business community, making them a true shining star among their peers.
“The Shine On, Peoria Gala is an opportunity to celebrate the people and organizations who truly make our community shine,” said CEO and President Rhonda Carson. “These award recipients represent the leadership, collaboration, and dedication that help Peoria continue to grow and thrive.”
The award was presented at the event in late February to Brent Kleinman, GCC business faculty, by Peoria Chamber CEO and President Rhonda Carlson. Another presentation ceremony was held at Glendale Community College with GCC President Tiffany Hernadez, Rhonda Carlson, Esmeralda Acosta, Brent Kleinman, Travis Rutt, and Anjelica Giardino.
