Dr. John F. Prince, GCC's first president.
The Prince family name is synonymous with service, dedication and support for Glendale Community College (GCC), and its students, staff, and faculty. Most recently, GCC is the recipient of a planned gift from Terry Prince Sims, however, the legacy of family service goes back six decades, when Dr. John F. Prince served as the college’s first president. Terry Prince Sims is the daughter of Dr. Prince.

The estate gift celebrates the multigenerational support and lifelong connection of the Prince family and GCC. In addition to being the namesake of the Dr. John F. Prince Library, there is also a memorial scholarship in his name; the Dr. John F. Prince Memorial Scholarship.
With its stunning architecture, artwork, GCC archives, collection of books, and music catalog, the John F. Prince Library is a treasure and invaluable resource for students and members of the community. The Prince Family Estate gift is made with the intention that students, for decades to come, will continue to experience the education, beauty and support that is core to Glendale Community College, over its 60-year history.
