The Dual Enrollment Program is an agreement between participating high school districts, Glendale Community College and the Maricopa Community College District "MCCCD", pursuant to AZ Revised Statute 15-1821.01 (.pdf). MCCCD is firmly committed to maintaining high-quality teaching standards and expertise. Faculty Credentials are determined by Instructional Councils and approved by the Provost as established in Article 16.2 of the Residential Faculty Agreement. They follow Higher Learning Commission (HLC) Assumed Practices to ensure that the institution is maintaining qualified faculty members. Find more information on our Faculty Credentials.

Requirements for Offering Dual Enrollment
- Instructors must teach the college course curriculum and college course competencies. The same college standards and guidelines apply as established by the Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) and Glendale Community College (GCC). See the Dual Enrollment Course Catalog for a list of approved courses.
- Textbooks must be college-level and approved by GCC Department Chairs.
- Comply with AZ Revised Statute 15-1821.01 (.pdf) and IGA related to dual enrollment
- Assist in communicating dual enrollment information to students.
- Submit a college course syllabus with the Dual Enrollment Office at the beginning of each semester and provide a copy to dual enrollment students.
- Teach MCCCD college course competencies and maintain college-level standards in the course.
- Establish attendance policies for the college course.
- Participate in classroom evaluation conducted by a college designee.
- Complete required enrollment procedures by announcing deadlines to students, submitting withdrawal notices, completing 45th Day verification and submitting final grades.
- Provide liaison as a point of contact for high school communication, correspondence and relations.
- Comply with Arizona Revised Statute 15-1821.01 (.pdf) and IGA related to dual enrollment.
- Ensure high school students meet eligibility requirements:
- Verify that students in a dual enrollment course shall be currently enrolled at the high school for a full-time instructional program as defined in Arizona Revised Statute 15-901 in addition to the college course or courses.
- High school seniors who satisfy high school graduation requirements with less than a full-time instructional program shall be exempt from this requirement.
- Ensure all students in the dual enrollment course meet required college course prerequisites.
- Verify that students in a dual enrollment course shall be currently enrolled at the high school for a full-time instructional program as defined in Arizona Revised Statute 15-901 in addition to the college course or courses.
- Meet yearly with dual enrollment Coordinator.

- Fitness Center - Dual Enrollment instructors may register for our Fitness Center for $25 (per semester); this is available to ALL employees (i.e. temp, student workers, adjunct faculty).
