Beth Eyres, CTLE Faculty Co-Director

As CTLE Faculty Co-Director, Beth collaborates, coordinates, and strategizes with the CTLE Staff, eCourses Faculty Lead, Faculty Developers and serves as the liaison with academic departments and other divisions/areas across the college. Beth remains an English faculty member on a reduced load, teaching online composition classes and, when she's lucky, a survey of Gothic literature class. She was previously the eCourse Coordinator in the English department and the eCourse Faculty Lead. Prior to life at GCC, Beth taught all levels in a Valley high school, coached multiple sports, led clubs, and served in teacher association leadership roles.

Meghan Kennedy, CTLE Co-Director and Instructional Designer

Meghan holds a Master's degree in Instructional Psychology and Technology and a BS in Psychology from Brigham Young University, a Master's degree in Communication and a Professional Writing Graduate Certificate from Northern Arizona University, and a Certificate in ESL Teaching from Duke University. Meghan has taught Education, English Composition, Interpersonal Communication, and ESL courses. Before coming to GCC, Meghan was an Academic Technology Consultant at the Duke University Center for Instructional Technology. Meghan also worked at Neumont University in Salt Lake City, UT, first as Faculty Development Coordinator and then as Associate Dean of Academics. In addition, she was an Instructional Designer and Evaluation Consultant at the Brigham Young University Center for Instructional Design.

Jennifer Alton, Program Analyst / Adjunct Faculty

Jennifer Alton is the Program Analyst for the CTLE. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Digital film as well as an undergraduate degree in Career and Technical Education. In her previous role as an educator and program director she managed and taught in several programs including Digital Filmmaking & Video Production, Visual Effects, and Animation. Jennifer has diverse industry experience. In the animation field she has worked in Continuity, Digital Effects, Final Check, and as a Staff Development Writer. She worked on several animated films including Anastasia, Bartok the Magnificent, and Titan A.E. She has additional experience in the live-action field as a Staff Writer, Location manager, Script Supervisor, and Visual Effects Artist. Her primary interests are visual effects and digital film. When not in the CTLE she is an adjunct faculty member in Film and Media Production at GCC. She is a strong student advocate and likes to challenge students to reach their full potential.

Rodney Gemoll, Instructional Design Technologist

Rodney brings more than 20 years of experience in higher education. He has experience in student services management, facilitating online and in-person courses as an adjunct faculty member, and for the past 15 years has focused on instructional design and educational technology while working for Arizona State University.

Rodney holds bachelor's degrees from the University of Northern Iowa and DeVry Institute of Technology, along with master's degrees from the University of Phoenix and the University of Arizona. A lifelong learner and collaborative thought partner, Rodney enjoys working alongside colleagues to design engaging, student-first learning experiences that support both in-person and online environments.

Jessica Parsons, Training and Development Consultant

Jessica Parsons is the Training and Development Consultant. She holds a B.Ed. in Career and Technical Education and an M.Ed. in Educational Technology from NAU. She began her career as an OER Specialist, where she helped to build Paradise Valley Community College’s zero-textbook-cost initiatives, advocating for students and working with faculty to meet their course needs. The pandemic provided an opportunity for her to grow her skills in training and content development, sparking her passion for teaching and training, leading her to serve as an adjunct faculty member in Computer Information Systems, where she focuses on real-world application and problem-solving skills. As she’s continued to learn and grow her skills, she most recently completed a temporary assignment with Maricopa Community Colleges District Office, facilitating Performance Success training and helping to develop a streamlined training strategy for future sessions.

Stephanie Burchett, eCourse Faculty Lead

Stephanie Burchett is a residential faculty member in the Art & Humanities department at Glendale Community College. She holds an MFA in Photography from the University of Arizona, an MA in Studio Art, and a BA in Graphic Arts from the University of Northern Colorado. With a background in Career and Technical Education (CTE), web development, and instructional design, she specializes in digital media, online learning, and faculty development. In addition to her faculty role, she has served as the Art & Humanities eCourses Lead, working to enhance online teaching standards, faculty training, and course quality since 2023.

Christina Clark, PAR and FYRE Facilitator/Faculty Developer

Christina Clark is Residential Faculty for the Chemistry Department at GCC. She has a Bachelor's in Chemistry/Biochemistry and a Master's in Chemistry. Christina teaches Fundamental Chemistry, General Chemistry I, General Chemistry II and the corresponding labs to those courses. She also teaches concurrent honors chemistry classes in both the Fall and Spring semesters. After working in industry for five years in La Jolla, Christina moved to Arizona, started teaching chemistry as an Adjunct at GCC in 2005, and became Residential Faculty in 2013. Christina is a course coordinator for CHM151LL, is the Pre-Pharmacy Club Advisor for GCC North, serves on the eCourses committee as her department liaison and is involved in the CTLE's Reimagine Project as a Project-Based Learning Lead.

Lisa Moore, Faculty Developer

Lisa Moore serves as residential faculty in the Department of English, Reading, ESL, Journalism, and Creative Writing here at GCC. Lisa holds a bachelor of arts degree in secondary education with a concentration in English from Arizona State University (2000) and a master's degree in English from Northern Arizona University (2007). Lisa began her teaching career as a high school English teacher in the year 2000. In 2008, she left her position in K-12 education to teach as an adjunct instructor at Phoenix College while caring for her young family. Lisa returned to full-time teaching here at GCC in 2019. Since then, she has taught ENG 101 and ENG 102 (in-person, online, and hybrid modalities) as well as a writing lab offering scaffolded support to first-year composition students. She served as a Developmental Education lead in the Student Success and Completion from 2021 to 2023. Lisa is passionate about exploring engaging teaching strategies in her own classroom and sharing new strategies to foster student success with her colleagues. Lisa is also passionate about nurturing a strong sense of community on the GCC campus.

Julie Morrison, Director, College Assessment & Review Team

Julie serves as the Assessment of Student Learning Liaison for the CTLE. When Julie is not involved in assessment activities, she serves as the Chair of the Psychology Department. Julie holds a BS from Texas Christian University and a MA and PhD from Stanford University, all in the field of psychology. She joined the faculty at GCC in 2005, and loves experiencing psychology with her Introductory and Research Methods students. She is proud to be part of the incredible team of colleagues at the CTLE.

Alexander Patrick, Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Alexander joins the extended CTLE team as GCC's Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. When not working alongside college leadership in DEI efforts, you can find Alexander serving as Residential Faculty in the Social Science Department. Alexander holds a BA in Anthropology, an MA in Sociology and Women's and Gender Studies, and a PhD in Sociology, all from Louisiana State University. In addition to joining the GCC community as faculty in 2016, Alexander is also active in the arts throughout the entire Phoenix Metro Area. So, you might see him on a stage near you! In whatever capacity you find yourself interacting, just know Alexander is always enthusiastic about being able to work with the outstanding CTLE team as we continue to provide great service to the GCC community! Smile!

Autumn Bolin McKelvey, Director, Developmental Education

Autumn Bolin McKelvey is Residential English Faculty with GCC. She earned her BA in English, her MA in Linguistics, and is currently finishing her dissertation for her Doctorate in Education degree. Autumn began teaching in 2000 with ASU and has had the opportunity to teach in various high schools and colleges as well. With GCC she teaches composition, mythology, and ESL. Her passion to advocate for students and their academic and personal goals has led her to be the current Director of Developmental Education at GCC. In this effort, she works to remove and minimize barriers to student success for GCC's students.

Donna Atwood, Adjunct Representative

Donna is currently serving as Adjunct Faculty in the Arts & Humanities department of GCC, teaching drawing. She holds a BFA in Fine Art Printmaking and an MSD in Visual Communications from Arizona State University. During her early career as a graphic designer, she served the needs of a wide range of industries including manufacturing, retail, healthcare, public utilities, and trade show promotion. In addition to teaching drawing at GCC, she also teaches printmaking at Phoenix College. She is currently active as a printmaker exhibiting work both locally and nationally.

Anne Kilstofte, Adjunct Representative

Composer Anne Kilstofte began as a professional pianist before pursuing her true passion for creating music, collaborating internationally with ensembles, universities, and sacred organizations. A Fulbright Senior Scholar and former assistant professor at Hamline University (1995-2007), she has taught musicology and ethnomusicology at GCC since 2008, becoming one of the first online music instructors and earning recognition as an Outstanding Adjunct and Master Teacher. Her diverse career spans composition (earning awards including The American Prize and Miriam Gideon Award), music production (having produced hundreds of concerts featuring luminaries like Pavarotti and Bernstein), writing for major newspapers and performing arts magazines, and leadership roles including president of the International Alliance for Women in Music. Dr. Kilstofte holds a Ph.D. in Music Theory and Composition from the University of Minnesota, where she studied with Pulitzer winner Dominick Argento and Grammy winner Libby Larsen, and has received prestigious grants from ASCAP, the Bush Artist Fellowship, Jerome Foundation, and others while also volunteering at Silver Spur Therapeutic Riding Center for individuals with special needs.
